Managed to come up with a few ideas for database backup of a Laravel application in conjunction with Jenkins. It’s not rocket science but it still needed some thought as to be maintainable after its inception.
The nephew came to visit. We usually play video games together, but this time it was rough. The laptop he brought fatally crashed about 30 minutes into Fortnite and continued intermittently crashing for 1-2 hours into extensive troubleshooting before we gave up. On top of that it took 2.5 hours(!!!) to install Fortnite on my desktop. Let’s just say the patience of everyone involved was wearing a bit thin. I’m going to have to do a bit of thinking about this going forward, there’s no reason that both of us shouldn’t be able to have fun, and that means having two working computers of mine for gaming.
