Fair warning: This is a post that’s personal. 2023 was very, very challenging. And 2024 seems set to not make things easier. During 2023 I went through two health related incidents that has been very tough to deal with, mentally. During my summer vacation I had become so aware of involuntary muscle movement that I… Continue reading My health as of 2024

Boy oh boy. Being a board member of a home owner’s association is SO not my wheelhouse. I’ve been participating for one and a half year and it’s just energy drain, pain and thankless work. I will not be applying for a role in the board next election. But I _will_ appreciate the work _good_… Continue reading A day in the life

My cardio session today went well. I had been distancing because of a new flurry of COVID running rampant. I, amusingly, still find it easy to fall for the marginally increased results as something that I can reward myself with, like it eating two slices of bread instead of one for dinner. I’ve been watching… Continue reading A day in the life

I 3d printed a few Gridfinity baseplates and bins because I had a few things I wanted to get a bit more fixed and arranged. I have a 3d printed streamdeck-like macro pad, a usb-keyboard & mouse-switch remote and a bangle.js charger that I wasn’t very happy with because they were constantly floating around on… Continue reading A day in the life

Managed to come up with a few ideas for database backup of a Laravel application in conjunction with Jenkins. It’s not rocket science but it still needed some thought as to be maintainable after its inception. The nephew came to visit. We usually play video games together, but this time it was rough. The laptop… Continue reading A day in the life

Did decent at work, managed to stamp out at least a few issues in quick succession. I found joy in error message handling/return as it was earlier bespoke and I have initiated turning it into proper HTTP status codes and messages. Replaced two wall switches at home so that I have more control over their… Continue reading A day in the life

Managed to complete my mapping activity at work. It ended up at two sequence diagrams and one flowchart. I first created them in a dockerised draw.io, and migrated them to GitLab MarkDown with Mermaid.js. Pretty decent results overall, hopefully they provide adequate insights when needed. Added the “No holds board” YouTube playlist to my Rss-to-Mastodon-scraperbot.… Continue reading A day in the life

Went to the eye clinic today. Got a bit mixed results from the examination. On one end I might have beginning glaucoma, on another it _seems like_ I have had a small bleeding and that’s produced a small tear/tugging/pressure on the retina. I’m going back in ten days for a follow up. Continued mapping out… Continue reading A day in the life

Being hungover and recovering from the migraine of last night, there’s been a lot of couching, with 4-5 hours wrestling shows from AEW and SmackDown, as well as another 2 hours of excellent podcasting from the Swedes at En podd om wrestling. I have pushed through NextCloud upgrades and tried to figure out how to… Continue reading A day in the life

Breakfast at Vital Foods in Copenhagen. Tasty sandwiches, can highly recommend. I tried seven different champagnes at the Champagne cellar. Chardonnay aged in oak barrels and Rosè are absolute favorites. Went to Halifax in Copenhagen. I tried a Zürich with a hash brown top. Peculiar, but not super special. I’ll try something a little spicier… Continue reading A day in the life
